Losing supported-housing listings on SpareRoom? Where to look now
Several supported-housing providers have told us they've been advised their supported-housing and exempt-accommodation listings are being removed from SpareRoom. If that includes you — or you used SpareRoom to find a room that comes with support — here is where to look instead.
Rooms & Support was built for exactly this kind of accommodation: rooms that come with support, funded through Housing Benefit or council commissioning, for people navigating mental health, homelessness, leaving care and other support needs. Nothing on the site is a placeholder — every live listing has been confirmed available by the provider within the last 10 days.
If you're looking for a room — for yourself or someone you support
Browse current vacancies by area, client group and funding type, and enquire directly — enquiries go straight to the provider. Referral teams and self-referrals are both welcome; you don't need an account. If nothing fits today, set an alert below and we'll email you the moment a matching room goes live.
If you're a provider losing your SpareRoom listings
You can list your rooms here free. Listings are room-level, structured for this sector — client groups, support intensity, funding type, gender designation — and shown to the people who fill beds: local-authority placement teams, social workers, hospital discharge and probation staff, as well as people searching for themselves. Providers are verified before listings go public, and the availability-confirmation system means your rooms are never shown as ghost ads.
